Orientation day

Lauren Miosku

Transition Coordinator

In Term 4, there are going to be a couple of really exciting opportunities for your children to meet our teachers and to explore our College.

Our first event is our Virtual Information centre (Which you are currently browsing!). This website will give you an opportunity to answer many of your questions and hopefully give you an understanding of the exciting things to come.

Secondary school can be a big change for primary school students and we are here to prepare them by making sure we create opportunities during this time for transition.

Make sure you have a good look at this site and even write down a set of questions if there’s anything that we haven’t answered for you. The Virtual School tour is also a fantastic way as a family to view our college and it’s amazing facilities.

On Tuesday 7th December 2021, we’ll have our statewide Orientation Day for all the 2022 Year 7 students to attend and to get to know their school.

The main difference between primary and secondary school are things like;

  • different subjects
  • different teachers
  • homework
  • having classes in different locations around the school
  • specialised subject areas and classrooms
  • timetables
  • managing their lockers and equipment
  • meeting new people and friends

2022 will be an incredibly exciting time at Mount Erin College and we are very much looking forward to meeting you all!
